Media Studies A2 – here we go.
Looking at step up 2 and the different ways it represents teenagers in the movie. Show the different cultures and values that street dance can have towards society. I’ve decides to choose “step up 2” as my media course work as I saw this file as a mixture of cultures and values in diversity society. one of the many reasons why I choose to do this was because looking at the way schools and parents try to presser us into the norms of the world for example, going to school and being told to do this and that, being pushed into doing what they think is best. Think about this? What choices do we have in school, college and universities? What thing are we told that we are able to do? In “step up 2” shows an exact example of the norms of which society try’s to form us into.

In what ways does “step up 2 the streets” convey values of cultural fluidity and equality?
looking at step up the steets it shows the difference in clture by pertrys them as dance, cluture is not fixed but more fluid. In this coursework I am planning to analyse Andie which is the main characters shows the flexibility in her culture and how she embraces the urban culture in to her life however it’s who is and not what she wants to be.
